Redirect checker

Trace HTTP redirects and inspect the final response without hiding the hops.

What is a redirect chain?

A redirect chain is a sequence of HTTP redirects where one URL sends the requester to another URL, which may redirect again before reaching the final page. Seeing the individual hops helps you understand how a URL resolves rather than looking only at its destination.

Why check redirects?

Redirect checks are useful during migrations, URL cleanup, broken-link audits, and technical SEO reviews. They can expose unnecessary hops, unexpected status codes, and redirects that do not reach the intended destination.

How it works

Enter up to 10 public HTTP or HTTPS URLs. The Worker validates each hostname against private-address blocklists, follows up to three redirects manually, and records every response status. It never automatically follows an unvalidated redirect.

Frequently asked questions

What is a redirect chain?

A redirect chain is a sequence of HTTP redirects where one URL sends the requester to another URL, which may redirect again before reaching the final page.

Why should I check redirects?

Long or unexpected chains can add latency, complicate crawling, and make migrations harder to audit. A checker makes the hop sequence visible.

How many URLs can I check?

This tool accepts up to 10 URLs per request. It follows up to three redirect hops and stops early when the Worker subrequest budget is reached.
